BGP Litigation is pleased to announce launch of its new Industry Practice and addition of a team of nine lawyers, led by Partner Nadezhda Pronina. The practice will focus on providing comprehensive legal support to companies in the chemical, construction, woodworking, mining, engineering and manufacturing industries, as well as other key players in the industrial sector. The team will also strengthen the firm’s Real Estate and Construction Practice by offering expertise in supporting infrastructure projects using a variety of mechanisms, comprehensive territorial development, land law and dispute resolution.

“Prior to joining BGP Litigation, Nadezhda headed a leading regional consulting firm in the Urals Region. The team provides legal support to industrial enterprises at all stages of their operations, from investor entry, asset structuring and financing to drafting of complex contracts, regulatory and environmental risk management, plus acquisition and sale of assets. Establishment of this practice aligns with our strategic objective of enhancing industry expertise and expanding our multi-service platform,” noted BGP Litigation Partner Alexander Golikov.

Over the course of more than 20 years, Nadezhda has successfully completed dozens of projects, including representing the majority shareholder of Russia’s biggest methanol producer in a case against the Russian Federation Prosecutor General’s Office regarding recovery of shares, providing legal support for construction of an ACM complex valued at approximately RUB 70 bln, drafting an EPC contract for construction of a melamine production plant worth approximately RUB 27 bln, and developing contractual documentation and leading negotiations up to conclusion of transactions, including those involving foreign licensors and suppliers, for construction of a paraformaldehyde production facility. She also counselled a Russian industrial holding worth RUB 30 bln on restructuring its ownership structure into an overseas trust and assisted a Russian manufacturing company in acquiring a group of European scientific and industrial enterprises from a foreign shareholder.

“We see great potential in the multi-service model: it enables us to address fully our clients’ needs. Transparent business principles, a systematic management approach, entrepreneurial drive, and the firm’s ambitious goals were key factors in our decision to join”, commented Nadezhda Pronina.
