At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, BGP Litigation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan (CCI RB) signed a cooperation agreement to support businesses in the republic both domestically and internationally. This partnership aims to elevate the legal culture within the entrepreneurial community, broaden access to expert legal assistance, and advance joint educational initiatives.

Bashkortostan stands as one of Russia’s largest industrial regions, actively pursuing large-scale projects to modernise facilities across the petrochemical, mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors. The region prioritises increasing oil production, expanding timber processing and light industry, and establishing new production sites to support major integrated enterprises. Additionally, prefabricated construction and construction material manufacturing remain a key focus.

“We intend to provide comprehensive legal support to large businesses in Bashkortostan and assist our clients with their investment projects in the region. For BGP Litigation, this cooperation marks a significant milestone in strengthening our connections with regional business communities”, said Alexander Golokov, partner at BGP Litigation.

“Our region has experienced sustained growth in its international economic presence. Bashkortostan-based companies are actively expanding exports, engaging in cross-border projects, and deepening cooperation with China, Turkey, the CIS countries, the Middle East, and other regions. The republic hosts major international business forums and events annually. In this context, access to high-quality legal support on international trade, investments, and asset protection is essential. I am confident that our collaboration with BGP Litigation will unlock new opportunities for Bashkortostan’s businesses to expand their global ties and enhance the region’s investment appeal”, stated Timur Khakimov, CCI RB President.
