BGP Litigation Announces New Appointments and Launch of a Capital Markets Practice

Effective 1 January 2025, Vladislav Rikov has been appointed as Equity Partner at BGP Litigation. Denis Savin has been named a Partner in the Tax Consulting and Tax Disputes Practice, while Counsel Elvira Ilina has taken the lead of the Capital Markets Practice.

Vladislav Rikov specialises in providing legal support to big corporations and private clients, handling projects in the transport and private asset financing sectors. His expertise includes transport financing matters, such as operational and financial leases and asset transactions, as well as regulatory issues related to transport operations, repossession of assets, and route structuring subject to restrictions. Vladislav also has unique expertise in structuring ownership and operation of assets both in Russia and internationally. He has been recognised by the Kommersant and Pravo-300 rankings. In his new role, Vladislav will continue developing the Transport and Asset Financing Practice and focus on implementing the firm's strategic plans.

Denis Savin’s competencies include tax consulting, identifying tax reserves, conducting tax due diligence, overseeing external tax audits and appealing tax claims in both pre-trial and court proceedings. Before joining BGP Litigation, Denis worked for the tax authorities, handling external audits of major taxpayers in sectors such as telecommunications, innovative technologies, FMCG, the alcoholic beverages and tobacco industries. He has been recognised in the Legal 500 and Pravo-300 rankings. In his new position, Denis will focus on strengthening the practice’s position on the Russian legal market, managing client relationships and leading his team.

BGP Litigation has expanded its range of services by launching a Capital Markets Practice, headed by Counsel Elvira Ilina. Elvira has extensive financial market experience, including roles in a big in-house and legal consulting.

The Capital Markets Practice will provide legal support for transactions on equity and debt capital markets, involving derivatives, private equity, venture capital, securitisation and syndicated loans. A key offering of the practice is comprehensive IPO support. The practice serves financial institutions and the real economy sector, especially “new economy” industries such as IT, medicine and healthcare, high-tech businesses, innovative manufacturing, biotechnology companies and intellectual services sectors.
